The Scottish Government have confirmed a further 16 people have died in Scotland after testing positive for coronavirus - bringing the total death toll to 2,261.
The figures revealed the number of positive cases of Covid-19 has risen to15,041, which is a increase of 72 compared to yesterday’s figures.
The number of people being treated for confirmed or suspected cases of the virus in hospital stands at 841, with 50 patients in intensive care.
The latest figures were released by the Scottish Government online this afternoon. Ms Sturgeon has now outlined how Scotland will start the gradual process of easing coronavirus lockdown restrictions across the country.
