The biggest beauty story to come out of lockdown is the debate over going grey. Some suggest it's the perfect time to embrace the inevitable and grow out your salon colour for good.
After all, grey is a natural consequence of ageing. While others are going to extreme lengths to get their roots done, flouting the rules to sneak in their colourist behind closed doors.
Hair salons in lockdown are the speakeasy's of the prohibition. It's all a bit over dramatic if you ask me. Even as a beauty editor who has never been short of salon services, I've found the pairing back quite liberating.
Nothing (even grey roots) is so desperate that I need to solicit a covert meet-up with my colourist. That doesn't mean, however, that I'm giving in.
