At least 469 people with coronavirus have now died in Greater Manchester's hospitals as the region suffered its highest daily increase in fatalities.
The latest NHS England data shows that 88 more COVID-19 deaths have been recorded as of 5pm on Friday. There were 26 more deaths announced at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, while a further 18 deaths were recorded at Pennine Acute Hospitals Trust.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, which has the highest number of coronavirus-related deaths in the region, announced 17 more deaths today.
Of Greater Manchester's eight hospital trusts, only The Christie didn't record an increase in deaths. There were also five more deaths at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, 12 at Salford Royal NHS Foundation
