A further 37 coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Greater Manchester hospitals. Some of those patients passed away in the last 24 hours.
Others lost their lives in past days and weeks. It takes time for deaths to be confirmed via the NHS, with some taking longer to be recorded.
Post mortem exam reports have to be processed and tests to be validated. The latest NHS data shows that a total of 1,245 people have died at Greater Manchester's hospitals having tested positive for COVID-19.
The Manchester Evening News previously reported how the number of coronavirus deaths in Greater Manchester peaked in mid April - eight days after the rest of England.
