A pensioner unable to hold his wife’s hand as she died from Covid-19 has called on Boris Johnson to quit over the Dominic Cummings scandal.

Grieving John Wilson, 70, sat alone at home as his wife of 48 years, retired science teacher Pauline, passed away in hospital.

She was cremated with no family present and John still waits for permission to scatter her ashes. John, of Whitchurch, Bucks, reacted with fury to the Prime Minister’s public backing for Mr Cummings.
