S Club 7 was hilariously trending on Twitter shortly after Prime Minister Boris Johnson appeared in another televised statement, easing lockdown restrictions further.

Speaking on Thursday night, Boris announced that from Monday groups of six people will be allowed to meet outside while sticking to social distancing guidelines.

It was a fairly simple statement and an easing of the rules that was probably welcomed by all, but some people just couldn’t resist the opportunity to make a joke… and at S Club 7’s expense.
