Hakim Ziyech has been urged not to play for Ajax this summer following his agreed transfer to Chelsea. Ziyech is set to move to Stamford Bridge this summer with Ajax confirming they accepted a fee of €40m (£34m) in February.

The move is set to be officially completed on July 1 however the current season could still be going at that date. Football across Europe has been postponed due to coronavirus with the Premier League not returning until April 30 at the earliest.

And Dutch outlet De Telegraaf believe Ziyech should not play for Ajax even if the Eredivisie season continues into July. It is believed FIFA are working on a new rule to extend contracts until domestic leagues are completed but De Telegraaf report that it could open a can
