5G tower attacks over unfounded coronavirus conspiracy theory 'putting lives at risk'

Despite repeated assurances there is no scientific basis for a link between the coronavirus and 5G technology, vandals are continuing to attack mobile phone antennas.

In the last 24 hours there have been four attacks on Vodafone’s mobile network, bringing the total number of incidents across the country to 20.

Last week there were arson attacks on mobile masts in Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester and Liverpool. The mobile phone network is a vital communication tool for the emergency services.
