Primary School headteacher Stuart Guest has told parents he will not open doors on June 1 because doing so would endanger children, families and teachers.
Mr Guest said there are still "active cases of infection" among families and he is not prepared to endanger the lives of pupils at Colebourne Primary School in Hodge Hill by opening up.
Other schools are expected to follow suit in the coming weeks, amid rising concern about the risks sending children to school poses to kids, Birmingham Live reports.
His stance puts him at odds with Education Secretary Gavin Williamson who has urged teachers to reopen primary schools after half term.
