Helen Flanagan has broken her social media silence after several weeks. The actress opened up to her fans and followers for the first time since late January and revealed she'd been struggling with her mental health and had a 'bad reaction' to medication that sent her into 'psychosis'.

Helen's ill health was referenced when she was forced to pull out of her stage debut. The former Coronation Street star was due to travel the country playing Miss Scarlett in Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter but pulled out for "medical reasons" and was replaced by former co-star and Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach.

Taking to social media on Wednesday evening (March 27), the 33-year-old, who is a single mum to three children - Matilda, seven, Delilah, five, and Charlie, two - who she shares with her ex-fiance Scott Sinclair, shared her first update in months by posting a fresh-faced and smiling snap in which she flashed a peace sign with her hands to the camera. "Had a few months off from social but I’m back now," she continued before explaining what had happened between Christmas and now.
