Huge queues of cars have been reported at McDonald's branches across the UK as the chain announced the reopening of 33 of its drive-thrus following lockdown.
Another six branches also reopened in Ireland today as the government eased up the coronavirus lockdown restrictions. Customers will be limited to a maximum spend of £25 per car and all will be asked to use contactless payment.
Some of the restaurants have partnered with food courier services like Deliveroo with a limited menu. Videos shared on Twitter today shows dozens of vehicles queuing up to get a taste of burgers and fries.
A mass queue is seen taking up the left lane of the road as far as six streets down the McDonald's in Oldfield Road, Sutton.
