Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan may have moaned about putting on weight during the coronavirus lockdown, but that didn't stop him from enjoying some junk food at the first opportunity.

The Good Morning Britain host, 55, queued up for a McDonald's after branches across the country reopened earlier this week. He took to Instagram to post a picture of himself from his car outside a Maccies in South West London on Sunday evening.

Piers captioned the photo: "And lo, the wait for the Holy Gastronomic Grail was finally over..." Many of his 1.1million Instagram followers voiced their jealousy in the comments.
