A young Salford mum was told her baby boy was dying the night before her 21st birthday. Charlotte Dunraven’s world fell apart when her son was born more than three months early and became critically ill.
Little Abel-James Farrelly arrived so prematurely his see-through skin would tear at the slightest touch. He was born weighing just 1.4lbs at the Royal Bolton Hospital on January 8 but had a due date of April 25.
Complications from his birth meant he suffered a range of health issues, including a bleed on the brain, a haemorrhage, chronic lung disease and a hernia.
