NEW DELHI: India's largest domestic airline InterGlobe Aviation-run IndiGo will operate only at 50% of its capacity and discontinue on-board meal services for a while once it resume operations after the lockdown to contain covid-19 is lifted, chief executive officer of the airline Rono Dutta said.
In a mail to employees, Dutta said the airline was looking to change many of its operating procedures to minimise costs going ahead. "We will be coming out with the new set of operating procedures very soon." The Centre has imposed a 21-day lockdown, scheduled to end on 14 April, to contain the spread of covid-19 which has claimed thousands of lives worldwide.
