Innocent tweet from Number 10 prompts hilarious response after Cummings fiasco

It was the most innocent of tweets from Number 10. The tweet, from Boris Johnson's UK Prime Minister account, simply said: "Keep 2 metres apart from people you don't live with." It had a link to government coronavirus advice and the hashtag stay alert with a picture of a beach which added: "Going to the beach this weekend? "Stay safe.

Keep 2 metres apart from other people. Stay alert. Control the virus. Save lives." But the response to the Downing Street advice this morning shows the extent of the damage of the Dominic Cummings fiasco.

Fury has erupted from politicians, members of the public, police and church leaders over Mr Cummings driving during lockdown 260 miles to his parents' in Durham.
