Emmerdale star Dean Andrews, who plays Will Taylor on the ITV soap, has revealed he has been in hospital undergoing surgery as he shared a photo of himself in a medical gown.The soap star, 60, shared a snap from his hospital bed on Thursday as he attempted to reassure his loyal fans by giving a thumbs up sign to the camera with a soft smile.
He shared more details in a caption. He wrote: "Surgery went well. Very happy to have woken up. Many thanks to my surgeon Chris and all the staff." Fans rushed to the comments to wish Dean a speedy recovery - and questioned why the star was in hospital.
One concerned fan asked: "Oh no! What has happened?" While another added: "I hope you'll be feeling better super soon. Sending lots of love Dean." A third shared: "Wishing you a very speedy recovery.Take care and look after yourself." Dean, who previously looked unrecognisable in a throwback snap, first featured on Emmerdale back in 2019, following a series of roles in other dramas and soaps.
Prior to taking on the role of Emmerdale's Will Taylor, the actor was arguably best known for his portrayal of DS Ray Carling in BBC drama Life on Mars.
