Prince Harry and Meghan have wished Kate Middleton 'health and healing' following her cancer diagnosis. It followed the announcement earlier today from the Princess of Wales who told how the disease was discovered after she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

The type of cancer has not been revealed, but it's understood Kate has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy since late February.

In a video message the 42-year-old described the diagnosis as a 'huge shock' and said the last couple of months have been 'incredibly tough for our entire family'.

Prince Harry and Meghan said in a statement released to the media: "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."
