John Cusack went from actor to intrepid reporter, live-tweeting from the Chicago protest on Saturday and even getting attacked by an aggressive police officer.

The "Grosse Pointe Blank" star joined thousands of others in the Windy City over the weekend to protest the death of George Floyd.

As the day began, he mainly shared videos and photos of what he was seeing. pic.twitter.com/o3W4gJ3SNE At one point he noted that he was "hit by pepper spray." Shortly before 11 pm — after Chicago's curfew went into effect — John tweeted a short video of a car on fire.
