Juventus should thank Napoli for protecting Cristiano Ronaldo by not travelling for their Serie A fixture last weekend, according to Vincenzo De Luca.
De Luca, the president of Italy's Campania region, insists Napoli abided by protocols after two of their players tested positive for coronavirus.
Naples' local health authority (ASL) prevented them from travelling to Turin for their league match with the champions, though Juventus were unhappy the match did not go ahead.
The Italian Football Federation's decision on the outcome of the fixture is expected next week, with a 3-0 default win for Juventus an option, while it could also be postponed to a later date.
