He has raised more than £3000 for his Mental Health charity and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation after running from Ayr United's Somerset Park to Kilmarnock 's Rugby Park.
Boyd said: "That was as hard as any pre-season during my career!"That was a tough shift. It will take me a few days for the body to recover.And Boyd reckons Rangers have a tough shift of their own ahead to ensure their title fight lasts for a whole season instead of petering out at the half way stage.
