Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Linda Lusardi broke down in tears in an emotional appearance on Good Morning Britain while discussing her battle with coronavirus.The former Dancing On Ice star, 61, was rushed to hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 last month, with her husband Sam Kane revealing she was on “death’s door” because of the virus.

She has now opened up on battling the illness, saying she believed she would die from it. Speaking on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain, the former model broke down while explaining that she was told by doctors that there was “no guarantee” that she would survive.

She told Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan: "It was absolutely horrendous and I thank God that I’m one of the lucky ones who came through it." She added through tears:.
