ITV has announced that it's launching a fundraising appeal for the NHS amid the coronavirus outbreak. The broadcaster has linked up with NHS Charities Together to work on the One Million Claps Appeal - which aims to show appreciation for those risking their health on the frontline against COVID-19.
Those applauding can donate via text - the aim is to raise £5million. The news was dropped during Good Morning Britain, hosted this morning by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.
Susanna revealed: "We can exclusively reveal ITV's partnership with NHS charities together as part of a new campaign which aims to raise millions of pounds to support those staff, who frankly, are risking their lives every day in the fight against this wretched virus." Ben
