Liverpool make decision on return to full training ahead of Premier League crisis meeting

The Liverpool first-team squad will not return to full training this week - and will instead wait for the Premier League to announce their new protocol.

The Reds closed their Melwood training base on March 13 as the coronavirus crisis began to wreak havoc all over the globe. Some Premier League clubs including Liverpool partially re-opened their HQs last week, with strict social distancing rules and a maximum of three players at a time allowed to use the pitches.

But following Boris Johnson's announcement on Sunday, there was some suggestions that Premier League clubs may consider re-opening their training grounds to a larger extent.
