Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA  (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Today's Good Morning Britain saw Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid mock Boris Johnson's new stay alert advice. Piers, 55, and Susanna, 49, slammed the Prime Minister's new government advice which said to "use common sense" during the coronavirus lockdown.

Dr Hilary Jones called Boris' advice "illogical" during the GMB rant. Piers admitted he didn't know what a weekend was anymore, before the TV hosts began discussing the bank holiday.

Susana and Piers referenced the closure of banks, before she sarcastically joked that the public could still go to them if they "stay alert".

Piers laughed as he agreed the advice was confusing and "didn't make sense". Susanna told him of banks: "They're just closed...
