A man was threatened with spray and arrested by police as he dropped off food for vulnerable family members in the coronavirus lockdown.

Greater Manchester Police have since been forced to issue a public apology after footage of the incident was posted on social media.

A neighbour used his mobile phone to film the moment an officer approached the man outside an address in Fallowfield, Manchester, on Friday.

The footage shows the man tell the officer he is "picking up a plant at the same time" and then ask him: "Give me a ticket for what?
