Michael Schumacher 'final health report' update 10 years on from horror skiing accident

Michael Schumacher's family lawyer has issued an update on the racing icon's health almost 10 years on from his life-changing skiing accident.

On December 29, 2013, he was skiing in the French Alps with his then 14-year-old son, Mick, when he fell and hit his head on a rock.He spent months in a coma in hospital before being taken home for further rehabilitation and the 54-year-old has not been seen in public since.

The Schumacher family lawyer, Felix Damm, told a German court in September 2016 that the F1 legend "cannot walk".In July 2019, ex-Ferrari manager, Jean Todt, said that Michael "struggles to communicate" but was able to watch races on TV.

With it now approaching a decade since the accident, Mr Damm has spoken out about his client's privacy and why they did not issue a "final report" on his health, Birmingham Live reports.Speaking to German news outlet LTO, the lawyer said: “It was always about protecting private things.
