India’s Covid-19 curve has flattened slightly over the past 24 hours but it remains close to the trajectory of the US, the new global hotspot The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India rose 10 percent since yesterday to 724, the latest data from the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) shows.
This is a slower increase compared to the previous 24-hour-period, when the number of cases had risen by 17 percent to 657. India’s trajectory has now flattened compared to that of the US, which is the new global epicentre of Covid-19, with confirmed cases surpassing China.
Yet, given the volatility in India’s daily data over the past few days, it is too early to say whether the current trajectory will sustain.
