NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education is leaving no stone unturned to make sure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to light a candle/lamp at 9pm tonight is a success.
The board has advised the schools affiliated with it to ensure their children carry out the exercise. Not to fall foul of CBSE, schools have sent a letter to parents to make sure their children light a lamp at the given time.
Not only this, schools have also asked parents to inform them of their compliance. Sardar Patel Vidyalaya (SPV), an old and prestigious school in the heart of the capital, has asked parents to inform the ‘homeroom teacher’ if a lamp was lit in their home.
