Narendra Damodardas Modi (born 17 September 1950) is an Indian politician serving as the 14th and current Prime Minister of India since 2014. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi. Modi is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist volunteer organisation. He is the first prime minister outside of the Indian National Congress to win two consecutive terms with a full majority and the second to complete five years in office after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
PM Modi to hold video interaction with political party floor leaders on 8 April
The video interaction will be held at 11 AM on 8 April Continuing with his engagements with key stakeholders over the coronavirus outbreak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to hold an interaction with floor leaders of key political parties on Wednesday to discuss the pandemic.
This is the first time that Prime Minister will engage with parliamentarians of all political parties over the issue. Union parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday informed that Modi would be holding a video interaction with floor leaders of all political parties whose combined strength of both the Houses (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha) is over 5 lawmakers.
