Hundreds of villagers have been medically screened in a coronavirus probe after the mysterious deaths of 10 monkeys. The animals were found dead due to suspected pneumonia at a village in the Sambhal district, northern India, earlier this week.
On Friday, 330 residents from Pawasa village were examined. One 45-year-old man was quarantined after showing coronavirus-like symptoms, Yahoo reports.
Samples from two monkey corpses were sent to Bareilly's Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI).
