A hospital cleaner who challenged Boris Johnson over the NHS surcharge for migrant workers says he has 'proud and honoured' after the fee was scrapped for health and care staff.
Syrian refugee Hassan Akkad's Twitter clip of him addressing Mr Johnson went viral, raking in millions of views. In the clip, he expressed his shock at being excluded from a scheme offering indefinite leave to remain to the families of all NHS staff who die as a result of contracting coronavirus.
