Police have been sent CCTV footage of an alleged suspect who spat on a London ticket inspector after saying he had coronavirus.
The victim, Belly Mujinga, died of Covid-19 just two weeks later. The 47-year-old mum was working on the concourse of Victoria station in March when a member of the public who said he had the virus spat and coughed at her and a female colleague.
Within days of the horrific attack, both women fell ill with the virus. Mrs Mujinga, who had underlying respiratory problems, was admitted to Barnet Hospital and put on a ventilator but died on April 5.
Now her employer, Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), has confirmed it has passed video of the spitting attack onto the British Transport Police.
