ORLANOD, Fla. – Monday marked the first day that anyone 16 or older could get a COVID-19 vaccine in Florida and the overwhelming demand saw the FEMA-backed vaccine site in Orlando reach capacity early.
The federally-supported site at Valencia College West Campus stopped letting new people in line by 1:15 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the state.
The site was providing 3,000 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine remain available and the site will stay open until 7 p.m.
