Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway has opened up about her ITV co-star Piers Morgan gave her some of the best advice after her husband Derek was hospitalised with Covid-19.

The TV presenter appeared on Friday's edition of the hit show where she spoke frankly about her nightmare ten weeks to GMB's Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh.

Kate revealed today that Derek is now Covid-free, however she said she's still not sure if he will pull through. Talking about Piers' pep talk, Kate said: "Very early on I spoke to Piers. "He was like, 'Come on you're a journalist, your focus is Derek, you have to get all the information you can'. "That helped as I was like I have job, it is fight for Derek and keep life safe for [her children] Darcy and Billie.
