Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain has reportedly been hit with 681 Ofcom complaints over Piers Morgan's fiery interviews in just eight days.

The last week of breakfast TV has sparked hundreds of complaints to the broadcasting watchdog. Segments which have drawn the most wrath from viewers include interviews with celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani and a lawyer representing George Floyd cop Thomas Lane.

Star snipper Adee swore three times during his appearance on the show last week, in which he ranted about the government's handling of the coronavirus crisis and spoke about the Black Lives Matter movement.
