Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan was left stunned after travel expert Simon Calder spoke about how much he had paid for his EasyJet flight. The plane company, which has been losing £5million a day since the crisis, resumed flights as the coronavirus restrictions lifted in the UK today.

Simon showed GMB viewers what it looked like in the Gatwick Airport departure lounge and described it as "quite strange". But he continued: "The prices - goodness me!

I paid £175 for this and ideally they want you to check in all of your bags. Obviously I wasn't going to do that because it was going to be another £25." Piers Morgan asked: "How much would that price normally be?" "Well, I booked six days a go and I'd expect to pay £50 tops!" Simon replied.
