Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan vows to pay parking tickets for NHS workers fined at hospitals

Piers Morgan has vowed to pay all parking tickets received by health workers at hospital car parks.There have been a number of campaigns for hospital staff to be allowed free parking at their workplaces as they work on the frontline battling coronavirus.The 54 year old took to his breakfast show Good Morning Britain to make the pledge as he struggled to understand why non-essential workers were still heading to their day jobs.

Speaking to property expert Kirstie Allsopp alongside his co-host Ranvir Singh, he said: "I will say now to any health worker during the future of this crisis, however long it lasts, if any of you get a parking ticket at a hospital where you're working, I will pay it for you.
