Good Morning Britain has been hit with Ofcom complaints over Piers Morgan's awkward interview with Health Secretary Matt Hancock earlier this week.

It quickly descended into a shouting match when Piers exclaimed "how dare you!" after the MP accused him of reporting on "tittle tattle".

It became heated as the presenter accused him of not taking the outbreak seriously and demanded to know why people had not been banned from going out.

Their awkward exchange on Monday prompted 47 viewers to complain to Ofcom, The Sun Online has reported. The Health Secretary had appeared visibly vexed during his appearance on GMB via video link as he addressed Piers' "serious questions" about the government's strategy.
