Piers Morgan has asked for his fans' support after Ofcom reportedly received nearly 2,000 complaints about his conduct on Good Morning Britain.

Certain viewers took issue with Piers' interview with Minister for Care Helen Whately during last week's Wednesday instalment of GMB.

The controversial presenter, 55, was accused of "bullying" the minister during the interview. Urging fans to back him earlier this evening, Piers tweeted: "Apparently nearly 2000 people have now complained to @Ofcom about me grilling Care minister Helen Whateley too 'unfairly' when she couldn't answer even basic questions. "If you think I should continue grilling ministers in the way I've been doing, please tell @OFCOM.
