PHILADELPHIA - Court documents reveal how investigators were able to tie a formerly incarcerated woman to the orchestrated escape of two Philadelphia inmates that sparked a citywide manhunt. Xianni Stalling, 21, was taken into custody Thursday in connection to the Sunday night escape of Ameen Hust, 18, and Nasir Grant, 24, from Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. The inmates were absent for three headcounts in the hours following their escape, but prison officials say they were not aware Hurst and Grant were gone until late Monday afternoon. Sources told FOX 29 the inmates' cell doors and the door to a recreation yard were left unlocked, which allowed the duo to pass through undetected before escaping through a hole in a fence. From there, an affidavit claims Hurst and Grant were able to climb over two additional barbed wire fences and onto the 8300 block of State Road. The woman has been charged with criminal conspiracy, hindering apprehension, escape and use of a communication facility, according to Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.Documents show that three hours before the escape, Hurst had a phone conversation with an unknown man during which he made arrangements to be picked up near a bridge behind the prison.Authorities believe that Xianni Stallings helped facilitate that conversation, and alluded to Hurst and Grant's escape during a video call with another prisoner a day later. During that conversation, court documents say Stallings appeared shocked that the unnamed inmate she spoke to hadn't heard about the prison break. "You had the opportunity to run from jail," Stallings is allegedly heard saying.

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - The mother of a 1-year-old girl who died Thursday night after she was pulled from a pond in Sandy Springs is being charged with her murder, according to Sandy Springs Police Department.During a press briefing, police said that the mother is being charged with felony murder and cruelty to children. She has been identified as Asia Calabrese-Lewis. She is being held in the Fulton County Jail. The child has been identified as Nirvana Oliver. "They live in the area, the father showed up… found her there with us and asked where the child is.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department has made an arrest in a deadly hit-and-run in Center City, according to authorities. Dominique Murphy, 37, of West Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, and related charges after being taken in as a person of interest, police announced Thursday morning. Dominique Murray, 37 According to authorities, Murray was allegedly operating a dark gray Jeep with its headlights off on Tuesday night, speeding down JFK Boulevard in the wrong direction around 10 p.m. Officers followed the vehicle, which then sped onto the 1300 block of Arch Street, striking a woman and one of her three children as they were crossing the street. After striking them, the officers stopped to render aid and the Jeep continued, fleeing the scene. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe woman, identified as a 38-year-old, suffered severe head trauma and was initially placed in critical condition.

LAKELAND, Fla. - A Lakeland police officer is recovering in the hospital after he was shot by a 13-year-old suspect, who was also shot several times by another officer, authorities said. Officials with the Lakeland Police Department and Polk County Sheriff's Office swarmed Lincoln Avenue Wednesday afternoon, but investigators said it all started with a drive-by shooting at Simpson Park.Polk Sheriff Grady Judd and Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor said Officer Jamie Smith heard a shot fired at the park while he was investigating a separate call in the area at around 5:15 p.m. He was able to find and pursue the suspect's vehicle, a Dodge Avenger, and tried to stop it. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor provided an update on an officer-involved shooting that happened on Lincoln Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

While waiting for the sheriffs to arrive, Lynn-Phipps became unresponsive and convulsive, so police used Narcan to treat him.

She had been a deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office since 2007.Her young son was also bitten in the dog attack, which was reported about 7:45 p.m., officials said.
