The Premier League has confirmed that there was one positive case for coronavirus in their fifth round of testing. Ahead of the season's resumption in two weeks' time, the latest batch of tests has revealed one individual has Covid-19.
The previous round of testing brought back no positive cases, meaning one person has contracted the virus since last week. The lack of any spread among clubs, though, will be seen as a positive for the Premier League as they prepare for Project Restart.
An announcement on the fixture list for the remaining 92 matches is expected imminently as teams continue to prepare to get back out on the pitch.
