The Premier League have agreed for a time limit to finish the current season to be 'extended indefinitely' so that it can be concluded amid the coronavirus crisis.
Football was initially suspended until April 4 after COVID-19 affected a number of clubs, with the likes of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson Odoi testing positive for the virus.
This has now been extended until April 30, but it appears football could continue over the summer now that the European Championships have been postponed until next summer.
A joint statement was released by the FA, Premier League and EFL which read: "English professional football bodies' thoughts are with all affected by COVID-19 and are united in finding ways to resume
