Rutherglen mental health group’s comedy night raises money to help keep them afloat
A Lanarkshire comedian has described a Rutherglen mental health group’s comedy night as one of his ‘favourite gigs’ as it raises money to keep them afloat.Mental Haggis, based in Morris Park Rutherglen, offers a service to those suffering from mental health issues.The group uses a range of new and different methods to allow people to feel safe and secure to open up, including holding comedy nights like on Sunday, October 8, where seven comedians performed.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

That was our third or fourth one, and each time, more and more comedians are coming to it.“We had around 20 people come down for the show.
We are really trying to spread the word, but it was great to see a couple of new faces.“These events help let people know where we are and these events are what is bringing in the money to keep us going.
