Sarah Ferguson has broken her silence following Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis with a touching message. The Duchess of York took to Instagram on Monday, 25 March with a heartfelt post in dedication to Kate.
She wrote: "All my thoughts and prayers are with the Princess of Wales as she starts her treatment. I know she will be surrounded by the love of her family and everyone is praying for the best outcome. "As someone who has faced their own battles with cancer in recent months, I am full of admiration for the way she has spoken publicly about her diagnosis and know it will do a tremendous amount of good to raise awareness.
I hope she will now be given the time, space and privacy to heal." The touching message comes after Sarah, 64, who is also known as Fergie, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer in January - the same diagnosis as her late father Major Ronald Ferguson - less than a year after battling breast cancer.
Her dermatologist found it when several moles were removed and analysed while she was having reconstructive surgery following her mastectomy and later learned that one of the moles was cancerous. The Duchess was diagnosed with malignant melanoma - the most serious form of skin cancer that can spread to other areas of the body.
