Amy Dowden has been whisked away on a lavish break by her famous pals. The Strictly star, who is battling breast cancer, is making the most of life before returning to work.The 33-year-old recently pledged to return to Strictly Come Dancing after being forced to take a year out due to her health.

In a new update, the Welsh dancer revealed that she and her closest friends have taken a break for some quality time together.Amy was joined by Giovanna Fletcher, Kelsey Parker and Candice Brown for a weekend getaway at The Lakes by Yoo.

Sharing a selfie with her 659,000 followers, Amy posed alongside her famous friends as they enjoyed their time away.Dressed in a cream coat and grey scarf, Amy flashed a smile for the camera alongside Giovanna, Kelsey and Candice.

She captioned the post with a series of emojis including a heart, leaves and a caterpillar.
