NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Centre in a plea seeking evacuation of Indian students stranded in the UK amid the covid-19 lockdown.
The bench, headed by the Chief Justice SA Bobde, also sought a detailed response from the government on its status and action taken in the matter.
The next date of hearing in the case is 13 April. The petition sought directions to the government to evacuate the students through the flights scheduled between 4 April and 7 April or as soon as possible.
The plea sought accommodation, and adequate health and medical support for the stranded students from the Indian High Commission in London.
