A nurse who lost six stone after becoming "fed up" at not being able to play with her grandchildren feels happier than ever.

Joanne Bell was struggling to keep up with her young relatives and decided it was time for a change.Joanne, who works at Glasgow's Royal Infirmary, reached out to weight management services after being referred by her GP.

And after turning her life around, the 45-year-old has hailed NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Weight Watchers for their help with her weight loss journey, Glasgow Live reports.The full-time nurse dropped from 17st 9lbs to 11st 5lbs and has gone from an XL uniform to a small.

Joanne, from Kirkintilloch, said: Initially, I was nervous about starting my weight loss journey but I knew something had to change.
