A second resident has died from Covid-19 after an outbreak at a Scottish island care home, we can reveal. Earlier today the operators of the Home Farm care home on the Isle of Skye, HC One, said a resident had passed away.
And the healthcare firm has now confirmed that a second resident has died from the deadly coronavirus strain - after more than 50 residents and staff contracted the virus.The age and gender of the residents are not yet clear, but of the home's 34 residents, 30 originally tested positive, while 27 of the 52 employees also being confirmed as having contracted the virus.
