The coronavirus pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone, especially those who are self-employed. Fortunately, these people can apply for emergency cash worth up to £7,500 from today and it could be transferred into their accounts by next week.
HMRC contacted tax-payers eligible for the Self-Employment Income Scheme (SEISS) over the past week to let them know they can make a claim from May 13.
SEISS will see the government cover up to 80% of self-employed workers’ average profits, up to £2,500 a month, if their income dropped during the pandemic.
