A new BBC sitcom based in Greater Manchester has been hailed 'a gem' by fans, while critics have awarded it a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.

Daddy Issues, starring Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood - who is from Stockport, where the series is based - released on August 15.

The six part series also stars legendary North West actor David Morrissey. The pair play father and daughter duo Gemma and Malcolm who are both facing their own hardships.

Malcolm is living in a dodgy flat share, reeling from his divorce from Gemma's mum. Meanwhile Gemma, 24, finds out she's unexpectedly pregnant.
